each day like any other..the flavor of life on hold...no salt to be seen or felt.
this made me start singing Paul Simon's "Kodachrome"
"gives those nice bright colors, gives us the greens of summer"--
there will be color again...I don't doubt it...has to be.
love this...

Every day I scare away the Crows.. wanting Blue Birds
and Chickadees... but alas... the shadow of illness nests
upon the grey clouds of "Nevermore". Even Emily may have
been at a loss to find solace... but there is always a silver lining
with patience and prayers. gently, Pat

Patience, yes, we all need that now more than ever. thank you for the review, Pat. Lydi**
Lydi, so great to read you again, and this poem, wow. I feel it in my own way. 3 months of day in day out, days bleeding into one another with no change of scenery. When does it end.
Your lines are so edgy, you can feel the frustration. I half expected you to drop an f bomb.

The colours seem to disappear and memories assume many hues of monochrome. The flavours ebb away and we are left with just bland moments. Those dreams of the past turn grey and ghostly. Yet time keeps ticking on relentlessly, mercilessly as breathless we try to keep up with it.
Ms. Lydi, this poem is amazing and I loved it!

The poem is great Ms. Lydi. It was such a pleasure to read.
This one would be worth it if only for this image: "I'm a saltine, salt side down/ on the hardwood floor of life." That would make a great title for a country music song.
