undeniableA Poem by Lydia Shuttermother's day is almost heremother's day 2010 i write sentences in the air hoping you will read them sure, the dust has gathered on certain memories but some seem even more polished with time wooden shoe images spin on the blades of windmills i hear you singing in the language of my childhood i still have trouble thinking of you in the past tense you were such a force in my life and even when the universe was blistered you always knew what to say what to do to make it all feel okay again mother's day is almost here my tenth without you i just want to find shelter between these lines wear their meaning till the fit is comfortable then cleanse myself in a fountain of tears still embracing one undeniable truth i miss you mommy!
