Regret thrives on us not being able to see another perspective to our most problematic parts of life, feeding on our fears of letting go of what we knew and heading into new territory. Like the images reflected there are always new angles to see things from and infinite possibilities.
Beautifully penned, with such softness and warmth we can all relate to.
We are so much like flowers of possibility when the sun comes out and our petals open to a rainbow of sensibilities... Your art is hopeful as a new day explodes with colors of sea tossed memories. truly, Pat

Thank you very much, Pat. Your reviews are wonderful. Lydi**
I love how you've written this. Some moment I feel as though 'my name is regret' and so reading this had me hooked from the first moment. I feel like you are saying "regrets are thoughts of what might have been, what perhaps was, and what is no more," (which I love how you expressed this) "but they only last so long and then time moves forward, the despair and bitterness fades, and what could be suddenly is no longer a shadow of the past but a ray of light towards the future." Of course this is just my interpretation. Right or wrong I love this and I appreciate the message I've received from this. This is brilliant and beautiful and the imagery you've added into this, the connection to everyday life is so good.

This is one of the best upbeat poems I’ve read in a long while. There are some sad people writing heartwrenching things & posting here, so I’m always happy to find such an artfully gentle way of saying: “cheer up! We can find or generate some better feelings!” Your word crafting here is sparkling like the best it’s ever sparkled! I’ve been uplifted! *smile* fondly, Margie

Half my life, I've had to make the decision each morning, just like you say!
Your exquisite image and poem absolutely bloom on the page Lydi. “Regrets open their petals”- beautiful and wistful. Brilliant use of personification, alliteration and metaphor. How we perceive things/life, is what is real to us, yes-“the world of possibility explodes”. The title says it all. Perfect.
