Lydia, a tender and sincere poem. I read this one several times, and though it certainly applies to a lifelong or longtime love, so many verses can also apply to self. I reflected on times when I talked myself through a scary or troubled time, and I came out on the other side. So comforting when we know others know us so well. Enjoyable read, as always.

I know you... like the lyrics of the long forgotten song ... .when the music plays I know them all by heart....when we love them like this madness...what else can the lover ask for
Love every bit of your work.... I am always inspired when I read your work .. :))

Ardra, I appreciate your review very much. Thank you. Lydi**
Much love poetry is laden with platitudes, but that is not the case here. The music metaphor is fresh and beautiful, a fitting tribute to love. The overall brevity and the spareness of expression make the feeling all the more powerful. Well done.
a beautiful poem lydia, what we hope for is to find someone who knows us so well they move with us instead of lead or follow us, living for today and not worrying too far ahead, knowing whatever happens will happen. so tender and loving
doubting the love stands degrading the level of one's Judas beauty that's better ought to be avoided. a bit tender, more musical it is to be reading. nicely covered with lamen words. looking forward to your poetry.
I love your poem. There’s just not enuf love in this world, it seems, sometimes. Not enuf steady lasting devotion, for sure. I love the way you describe it in palpable ways, so convincing. I read Robert Ray’s review suggesting this could be thought of as being written to oneself & I love that idea. But I’m a little embarrassed to say I had the thought of my dogs . . . I know their every tangle of fur & itchy spot. The perfect poem presents a platter of goodies we can all call our own! *wink! wink!* Fondly, Margie
