This is a transatlantic cruise! I was mesmerized as the message of your poem goes into different offshoots of exploration around this scene that is magnified by your entrancing artwork selection. The playful personification of the various heavenly aspects is sublime & piques the imagination of all writers. That ending is so unexpected & memorable! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Nothing quite like walking on the deck of a ship when it is sailing through the middle of the ocean. No land in sight....only stars, sky, and ocean. It is a poetic cornucopia. I appreciate your review. Lydi**
This is very relaxing and calming to me, I can almost smell the ocean.
Did the man in the moon wink back? That is the question.

Reminds me a bit of Silver threads and Golden needles... we can mend each others hearts,
because we know the other so well. A soft and melodic poem that caresses the heart.

Very, Very playful and very Free - the Ocean is Freeing - We get let so much Go there - I've never done a Cruise but owned a timeshare on St Thomas for years - probably been there and St John - about 16- 18 weeks all total and a couple weeks on Hawaii big Island and Kauii. Last time was almost a year ago - first 8 - 18 of June St Thomas 7 nights and one on St John at The Lindholm Estate overlooking Cruz Bay where the Ferry Boats come in, and of Course views of the Ocean - The British Virgin Islands and St Thomas. If you get a chance stay there, the one who came down to show us around at check in was the owner, who stays and has the top floor of the newest building, I think 4 buildings. The original building his parents erected when they went their as research scientists in Nature in 1951 and the sight is on ruins from the 1700's. No kidding the current owner was born there, and there was not even power on the island then in the 1950's. When I was laying in those boyant warm Caribbean waters nearly falling asleep floating I was singing this song that I wrote in the moment there. "Hold Me, Hold Me, GrandMama Sea, ... Hold Me. Hold Me, Hold Me, GrandMama Sea, ... Hold Me. I liked the whole thing but especially this part:
the ocean’s skin is dark
but its sexy voice can be heard
its salty breath entices me
i swallow a seductive splinter of air
savoring the taste
also the Winking at the Moon - sweet.
My Baba says - You have got to be the Ones to Jump Over the Moon.
And then he says in this case Moon is Mind.
We got to Get out of our Own Way. Mind is always gettin' in our Way -
only way to do it right is to quiet it, and then be in our Heart and let it flow, flow like this Poem.
Lovely - again could you share with me how you get a picture embedded large like this in the Piece, I only know how to do that ICON image, not the embedded - thanks Dear ... I'm Glad You are Here.

We have sailed to most of the ports in the islands. They have a rich history and culture. I told you how to embed the image on the other poem. See if you can do it now. If not, let me know. Take care, Lydi**
I have always considered the man in the moon to be a voyeur, and after reading this, I am most certain of it! Thank you for making us feel as though we were there - and feeling a little envious, too!

no alien creature, just me trying to catch a star... I thought if I caught one, I might find myself enjoying the ocean's dark skin, and salty air, but alas I missed... thank goodness there was your wonderful enticing poem to make me also feel playful and free.... oh and by the way, that 'wink' you got from the man in the moon, WOW, you certainly were in his dreams...
Lydi, I have really missed reading your poetry and sending you a huge "NICE" too ;0)

How wonderful to be on deck at night under the stars. I could hear the song Cool Change by Little River Band playing in my mind as I read this. I enjoyed.
