WOW! WOW! And WOW! This is the perfectly crafted little memory nugget! I love it! The calendar-to-postcard transition is startlingly crafted & smoothly delivered. You have a literal goldmine of sparkling imagery in your head & you manage to pick out the perfect tiny collection to paint each uninhibited scene in your poems! *smile* Fondly, Margie

Well, this review has made my day, Margie! Thank you so very much. Lydi**
Dates, days, songs, scents, they so often make the noisy world a sweeter place; bring back far more special times than not-so-good, if we let them. And you have, dear Lydi. Your words are a somehow comfort because they show how time never quite leaves us.. and never should. Beautiful language, sincerely.. near majestically put. xx A sighing thank you. '.. but to me it is forever beautiful..'

Thank you so much dear Emma. I hope life is treating you kindly. Lydi**
To feel the surge of a memory within the reading of one's poem is quite a feat to accomplish. I could lose myself in this photo, feeling the cobblestone street beneath my feet, aimlessly walking all the while. Your words give striking contrast to the black and white imagery, and as always, I am awed!

Kelly, you are always so supportive. Thank you, my friend. Lydi**
Perhaps this was a trip with your Dad to the Netherlands as you skipped on the Cibblestone path. I remember going swimming with family and friends when the water temperature was perfect. I felt the nostalgia of reading a postcard of memories tucked away. truly, Pat

Thank you for always being supportive of my work, Pat. I appreciate you. Lydi**
An old postcard but has great meaning and priceless memories. It is amazing how we can relate many events with objects and they become part of the great narrative. I love it.
This really made me smile Lydi, having had a recent moment like that myself, where a picture of someone floated into my head and a little later I discovered it was the date we originally met.
I didnt need to look out the photograph, but did and it was a perfect match to my memory, just as I am sure yours is.

So pleased you could relate. Thank you for letting me know. Lydi**
A wonderful journey into memories and missed places.
"the postcard had your handwriting
meticulously crossed t's and dotted i's
i can almost smell your cologne as i remember"
The above lines. Perfect. Thank you Lydia for sharing the outstanding poetry.
