all that you left behindA Poem by Lydia Shutterartwork by salvador dali your eyes were
a vault keeping the
best parts of me locked up for
safekeeping you would
gesture for me to come closer and I would
lean into you certain you
had secrets to share seconds
melted like ice cubes in my tea afternoons
sailed into the past on butterfly wings sometimes i
think i can close my eyes and blink
you back into being wishing to
curtsy and have you applaud with your
hearty laugh truth is all these
years later i still keep
with me all that you
left behind i miss you! © 2018 Lydia ShutterFeatured Review
