no rhyme no reason

no rhyme no reason

A Poem by Lydia Shutter

no rhyme

no reason

long raindrops see-saw on the window

palm fronds breathe a sigh of relief

released from the sauna of the day

stars smile on night owls

and i watch

remembering the poetry of your face

like a window into a world of art

a world bursting in brilliant hues

a world waiting to paint my colorless rooms

and so it did

and really still does

with no rhyme

                                no reason

You can turn any moment, into a moment of gracefulness and gratitude, the mystical feelings of love, those feelings that raise our senses, burst our hesrts, flowing our ink... how gorgeously You've painted one of these moments, how sensitively and yearningly You've said it all, how Your feelings come into free words with no rules, just written, as Your heart whispers them to You. another splendid piece of beauty, Thank You*

one of my favorites of yours, Lydi.

the raindrops see-sawing on the window---they are doing that right now on mine
and the really warm temperatures of today...have become cold...as i think of colorless rooms and a special friend i lost so many years ago...the poetry of her face...and artist's dream--

Glad I could take you to that place, Jacob! Thanks so much for this review. Lydi**
This is truly beautiful. From first words, it grows and blooms into the feeling you are describing, of how thinking of someone, or a particular moment, meanders along its path, into your mind, and as you think it, you are transported back to the moment.
I think that in a world that demands facts, you beautifully state the possibility that sometimes, no rhyme or reason is required.

You are welcome
Love happens and it has no rhyme or reason for it is explainable and hard to box in words or ideas. True love is on the spiritual level and amazing. All things become and are seen in different ways and forms. Amazing penning and artwork...

hmmmmmm dreay ...but i feel the unbalance of no rhyme no reason ... hard to think of such wondrous, colorful life-scape that was and is painted inside ones rooms ... brilliant way of drawing one inside ..so blissful
