you are my songA Poem by Lydia Shutterartwork by gary benfield you
are my song a
melody lilting in the background everyday
of my life
at
times my ears reach for the notes longing
to hold them while
i run through the sand
the
song creeping through my window on
a balmy summer night humming
storms into my dreams
the
song bruising me with its jagged crescendo then
massaging my pain as
it kisses my skin
my
flesh sings you every
curious passage a
mystery inscribed on my soul
