that’s why even now
when night falls
and my eyelids close over my heart
all i see is you
.... some people just come into our life and they change the way we see ourself... then they leave us wondering if those colors does they really stay... after a period of time... i guess in the memories and at nightfall when we close our eyes we can remember how it once felt like to be alive through their eyes ...
thanks for sharing such simple yet wonderful poetry...
dear Lydi... I feel the ambiance of affection as colors glow in your perfection. There are people who fill you with stardust and glitter moments.
"When your eyelids close over your heart ..." a seashell of love is a treasure discovered. truly, Pat

Thank you so much, Pat. I always appreciate your lovely words. Lydi**
Beautifully painted words and memories Lydi. What a wonderful journey your trips to memory lane are, it must be wonderful to think back to those rainbow and glitter days, as you look at those rainbow and glitter days memories.
I guess now this piece now becomes part of those same memories too, ready to be played each time it is read again. Lovely.

Thank you for visiting and your comments, Neo. Lydi**
Like this. I compared myself to a jigsaw that had all the required pieces, they just needed to be fitted together correctly. My now wife, over the course of a few years, carefully, lovingly did this, and 25 years later we are blissfully happy.

May you be happy for another 50 years! Thank you for the review, Gee. Lydi**
I am in love with your work. Especially this poem, Lydia! It's so dreamily nostalgic, I just love it and appreciate a good writer like you.
I loved every single line, especially the beginning and how you beautifully transitioned it to the end. When it comes to poetry on here, you're one of my favourites!
Regards and Thanks,
Mira.
