pura poesia

pura poesia

A Poem by Lydia Shutter
"

friday night is here!

"

artwork by helene beland

i took the undulating plunge

dancing in your sunlight

swooning in your moonlight

nibbling on the stars tumbling from your sky

my cohort

my co-conspirator

feeling your hopeful breath on my neck

needing that flesh on flesh

wanting to be just that little bit evil

deliciously diabolical

nothing prosaic about it,  mi amante

what it is, quite simply, is pura poesia

Overall, this feels breathless & impatient, like the narrator is eager to get down to business! *wink! wink!* Your word choices are delightful, being both unusual & exact: undulating, nibbling, tumbling, deliciously diabolical . . . so much fun & action & borderline outlandishness makes this feel like wild partytime fun! Great title, too!
