histoires d'amour

histoires d'amour

A Poem by Lydia Shutter
"

happy valentine's day, writer's cafe!

"

artwork y konstantin razumo

an alphabet of stealthy references

some powerful and some vague

quietly tiptoes ‘neath my fingertips

creating histoires d'amour

unbridled joy cascades upward

landing on the keyboard of glorious emotions

‘tis there a filigreed empyrean expands before me

as new phrases define desire

oui, mon amour

repeatedly you caress my world

each time with a new cadence

proving true love stories never have endings

Very true indeed, true love stories never have endings. The words are just as beautiful as the that feeling love that made them land on the keyboard.
This is very very fine poetry by a very fine poetess.
I read and read and got mesmerised by the beauty of this write.
Thank you Lydia for this craft.

Thank you, Sasha. Lydi**
beautiful ..the perfect stories of love at one's fingertips and key board ..well said Lydia .. it was a song in my heart as i read ...demanded a second and third reading ..i think it is so sublime and heartfelt from the poetess Lydia .."histoires d'amour" takes us through the process of a poem ..i love the keyboard personification ..i think your V1, L3 is brilliant ...the muse strikes ..and away we are taken ..very fine stuff says i ..love the ride it takes me on ...

Awwww, thanks, Pat.
Each new moment, experience, and emotion opens our hearts expanding its definitions and capacity. Some hit you with a bang, while others sneak in and caress it softly. Both can be enjoyable :)

Happy Valentine's Day my friend. This one is beautiful as always.

You write as if casting spells and as such, your poem is true magic. Love becomes the ultimate with every glorious phrase. It's wonderful, Lydia!

:) your obsequious ways make you the real lady you are!
....Of which, you can now add this wonderful piece as a valuable addition to the library Lydi. We speak of love and the words we long to hear, but for the words to be as important a part of that as the person saying it is a wonderful twist to what can be a saccharinely too sweet day. Love it.

Or we try to anyway. Thanks, Jacob. Lydi**
I loved the language used. Mr. Donne would love these words.
"unbridled joy cascades upward
landing on the keyboard of glorious emotions
‘tis there a filigreed empyrean expands before me
as new phrases define desire"
The above lines. A perfect emotional ride. Thank you Lydia for sharing the amazing poetry.

You are welcome dear Lydia.
Love stories never have endings. So true. They are alive as long as we are. Or longer if we write lovely poetry about them. Une histoire pour une histoire d'amour.
