life

there is a glorious seduction

tempting me today

the breeze is salty

my thoughts less scattered

no one dares to intrude

 

that’s my sun up in the sky

the static of stress now tuned out

waves play a melodious tune

while tying my soul in pretty ribbons

 

serenity has moved roadblocks to find me

anxiety is now hogtied and hidden away

poetry slips through

the bottom of a saltwater soaked paper bag

 

life….i love you!

Very lovely piece, Lydi :-) life and its magical elements have much to offer and our thoughts can only perceive it. This poetry captured that beauty and essence of life very naturally. Narrator seems to be submerged completely into that emotion towards life.

I like the idea that serenity has come to find you. When I first saw this I couldn't help but think of the line from Elton John's Song for Guy. "Life isn't everything" But that soon changed because I realised this is everything. Beautiful poetry.
