life

A Poem by Lydia Shutter

there is a glorious seduction

tempting me today

the breeze is salty

my thoughts less scattered

no one dares to intrude

that’s my sun up in the sky

the static of stress now tuned out

waves play a melodious tune

while tying my soul in pretty ribbons

serenity has moved roadblocks to find me

anxiety is now hogtied and hidden away

poetry slips through

the bottom of a saltwater soaked paper bag

life….i love you!

Very lovely piece, Lydi :-) life and its magical elements have much to offer and our thoughts can only perceive it. This poetry captured that beauty and essence of life very naturally. Narrator seems to be submerged completely into that emotion towards life.
Wonderful and soothing piece to read.
This spreads positive vibes around.
Beautiful picture.

what a beautiful scene from your cruise... and such serene poetry from your pen Lydi... between your words and the foto, I can smell the salt air, feel the gentle rocky of the waves... indeed, such calmness would allow for a "I Love You" to life...

exquisite poetry Lydi and deserving more than a "nice"... ;0)

I know the feeling
I used to love sitting in a boat on the lake watching the sunrise or sunset with only the natural sounds around me. The world becomes smaller in this personal "cocoon" -and it's yours.
I can't match your metaphors, but I can share your sentiments. :-)
