solo adventure

in the dreary domain

of a rainy sunday

i trample a path

traveled ten times and then ten times

or perhaps even more

as my creaky cranky joints complain

                

suddenly

                        just to escape it all

my mind swims off in a puddle

to some destination secret to even me

no where near the realm of reality

        so here i am

teetering on the edge of syntax

stagnant in sunday’s existence

impatiently waiting for my mind to impart tales

of its solo adventure

This reminds me of those moments when we seek out inspiration for our writing. It might be on a walk or drive or in a moment of reflection. The mind wanders on its own little journey seeking words and ideas that we can use to express ourselves in poetic form.

There is a certain hour on Sunday that always seemed to me significant. No idea why.
The thoughts and adventures of thought that one can feel solo are captured so emphatically in this. A worthy, lovely and well built write. I see that particular hour on a rainy Sunday so clearly and being alone with my thoughts.I am impressed but then you always do impress me.
