Between

Between

A Poem by Lydia Shutter

Somewhere deep

in the realm of betweens

you kissed me

between the summer and autumn of life

between the once dark sky

and a sparkling firmament

between lukewarm smiles

and sizzling passion

T=was there

you magically turned dandelions

into fragrant smelling roses - -

my heart no longer eluded capture

and an urgency to remain

in this realm of betweens

bugalooed down the Broadway

of my soul

Hello Lydia,
Thought I would come over and say Hi! I can identify with this lovely appreciative hearted rendition to memories of appreciation in our lives time. So much has passed and so much to still learn and experience. Love is something which does take tending, watering, feeding to enjoy.................blessings in your life and writing. Kathy

You have me smiling Lydi. So charming and fun. The in between moments are little gifts. Stolen treasures.

i like how you brought that in at the end...this might be my favorite poem from you...the texture of it just sinks into me...the feelings so "in your face" real.
