This is my first read of your poetry....
I am struck by the poetic excellence of your write.
Your poem is a much needed word for the whole world.
The message is relevant even today and also universal in relevance.
I like the whole of second stanza very much.

This is so true. But I think it is a lesson few people learn. I think I have this down with most people, although I do admit to losing my cool on occasion.
This is timeless and such an important message. Why do so many people think they "need" the last word? I whole heartedly believe the best thing to do is "To simply ignore....avoid the war till unfriendly sparks subside" as you state here - great poem Lydia :)
