inaudible hum

inaudible hum

A Poem by Lydia Shutter
"

poetry saves the day

confronting seditious stress

(forcing it to have an out of my body experience)

my tongue traces the shores of imagination

its only barrier the softly contoured perimeters of my mind

burgeoning images dangle before my eyes

            expanding

                        curving

                                    falling into one another

elliptical filaments of silk ‘neath a sensual rainstorm

slowly logic loses its grip

i breathe in the gentle perfume of pure poetry

insurgent stress runs off to a faraway realm

then turns to watch as i glide

on a nearly inaudible hum of passion

kissing my naked soul

Thank you very much, Poppy. Lydi**
I was drawn by your oxymoron-ic title, only to discover the rest is quite sensual. I love your way with words.

I like this very much.....

A very sensual piece of writing......it glides over the tongue very easily. And there is nothing better at relieving stress as the words that flow through the tip of the quill.

And if pure poetry is perfume....hmm....does it come as cologne for men?:)
Very lovely writing.

Marvelous 'my tongue traces the shores of imagination' too many great lines to choose from actually, & 'perfume of pure poetry', love the finish too. Hardly faint, coming through loud and clear!

Passion is an out of body experience... when
stars collide in a far off galaxy of a kaleidoscope
of colors and bursts of excitement. truly, Pat

Wow!

Lydia, nothing short of remarkable, these words catapult into my eyes, ring the doorbell of my soul, here and now is where I grab every morsel of your being, your soul and dance to infinity's goal.

Regards,
Al
