even nowA Poem by Lydia Shutterartwork by garmash even
now gray
hair blowing in the sea breeze beauty
was her calling card
she
tasted summer with lusty abandon as
tips of nostalgia were moistened by
the memory of a juicy peach eaten
at the beach juice
running down her chin till
“he” licked it off
oh
yes, a liquefied reminiscence whitecaps
breaking over and under them salty
clean yet seductive giggles turning
into fulfilled fantasies fit
for kings and queens ones
only encountered in her wildest dreams…..or poetry
yes,
even now beauty
was still her calling card and
poetry her salvation
