Again, Lydi,
You've blessed us with a wondrously beautiful and meaningful fit of a painting … it's a though she's fanning her dress at life's cares to fly away, exactly how the moment and suggestive nuances of your poem make me want to toss it all to the wind, grab a handful of romance, chase a kite until breathless and drunk from laughter … then, soothe into slow, deliberate lovemaking … oops! Ya got me carried off there … blush!
"Calling card" and "salvation", it's an enthralling piece from your depthless well of sensual affection and imagery, we all adore and need!
Thank you, Dear Lady-Poet … warmest hugs to you! ⁓ Richard

The art is incredible... I see the woman as young at
heart, yet wise as the ocean breeze that sweeps across
memories of a juicy peach eaten at the beach... white caps
breaking over and under them... fantasies only encountered
in her wildest dreams..... or poetry. Even now beauty
was still her calling card and poetry her salvation.
You have painted the essence of a woman's soul.
truly, Pat

Indeed, beauty - even for a short while, can produce profound action in men, women and all that bother to look at and for it, well done, good read.

I really love this message! Young people think old people dry up & forget about sensuality, but I think we have it over them in spades! I love the peach imagery, something I've considered a staple in my bag of tricks. Even tho this is about a woman, I find older men to be so much more sexy than young guys, in many of the same ways as you've described here.
There's such a heavenly twist to this post! Your picture lures with that lovely young woman but the words show more, far more: no matter what age, what inclination - the juiciness of human emotion, lust, love.. all... is there for the taking, wanting at an time. Down with discretion and inhibition -. just be.. go for it.. whenever!
You capture emotions so beautifully, lydi. x
