'i rush to translate you into the language of love.. '
Can be the scent of... the sound of.. the call of... and the mind and heart sings!
And you - as ever always, have put those brief words into such a warm, sincere yet scintillating place. I've read again, aloud.. and applaud with smiles galore. Beautiful.

It's true, the way we identify a beloved person simply by some vague glimpse of them, such as their shadow showing us the way they always stand, etc. Your poem deliciously describes the way our minds free-associate many pleasant memories & sensations, based on some blurry reminder like this! Your word choices are very imaginative & original: "nouns slosh over my overfilled plate" . . . & I had to look this one up: "chiaroscuro" so perfectly stated in that line.

"verbs sway on the tree of life=s high branches
nouns slosh over my overfilled plate"
OH my friend, I just couldn't agree more. as poets, we want to translate everything into written words, where we can savor them forever. you have the most unique perspective, the way you capture it through your eyes, seeing verbs swaying and nouns sloshing around, makes me love poetry all the more. thank you! :D
