Have You?

Have You?

A Poem by Lydia Shutter

Have you felt the weight of a falling leaf
as it drifts through the wind without a care?

Have dandelions morphed to roses in your gaze

as the wind’s footsteps quicken?

Have you ever been lost
in the silence of peaceful meditation?

Have you given yourself the freedom to change

as you moved obstacles from your path?

Then I promise you this….
unrestrained by the cruelty of time
someday we’ll meet upon a distant star

Those have not felt such are numbered in my view among the unlucky. I adore such poetical imagination; and how wonderful it is to be able to articulate such joyous thoughts.
