my sixth without youA Poem by Lydia Shutterthis week a full spectrum of emotions insinuates itself on my horizon i still have trouble thinking of you in the past tense you were such a force in my life my sound of music on silent days my smile when the world was frowning my vase of perfect tulips in turbulent times and even when the universe was blistered you always knew what to say what to do to make it all okay again but now mother's day is here - my sixth one without you and i just want to disappear between these lines wear their meaning till the fit is comfortable then cleanse myself in a fountain of tears while embracing one undeniable truth the love you gave me continues to fuel my ever after
i miss you mommy
