i taste the thunderA Poem by Lydia Shutterartwork courtesy of arwen arts a soliloquy
of innocence woven through decadence lulls me
this afternoon i taste the
thunder a mingling
of tears and honey a blending of
cacophony and harmony a delicacy
known to few a sort of
lullaby singing to my blind heart i am willing
to listen but refuse
to remember only darkness while
dismissing the light too many feel
the pain of heartbreak more than they
originally felt the love too many
swim through the quicksand of grief refusing a
lifeline when it is thrown pain fills
the vacuum refusing entrance to pleasure i taste the
thunder savoring its
exotic flavor
