There are certain times in our lives where time seems to stand still, frozen.. the romantic in me longs to think back on some of these moments.. I close my eyes and remember with such clarity each thought, each flutter of the butterflies in my tummy, each exaggerated beat of my heart and feel as if I am right there again. Sometimes, it is a what if day dream, wondering what would have happened if I had seized the moment, and other times it is just lavishing in the bliss that once was... just beautiful.

Wow the imagery you invoke in this one is astonishing. Your word choices superb. Indeed all about that minute (should i say a just a second and the rest 59 is about coming in terms with it, if of course that minute even feels like a minute). This a lovely poem. The flow as usual is sublime. Another great romantic write. ^^ I like it much ^^ Thank you for sharing ^^
dear Lydi, "it is true" c'est vrais
"the faintest of motions
the dreamiest of touches"
the wedgewood sky winked... forever blue.
This struck a chord of romance on
my heart and soul. truly, Pat

You are such a romantic, Pat. Thank you for your review. Lydi**
I have to agree on the wedgewood sky. And the line, "nothing is larger than a minute" is so perfect -- romance is alive in you, and is reflected in your style.
I hope it always will be, KL. Thank you so much. Lydi**

Just ignore them, KL....they will always be here. Don't let them win.
I like this message . . . this poem isn't QUITE as smooth & flowing as the others of yours I've read & enjoyed . . . but the message is clear & thought-provoking. Reminds me of my poem "Bull Riding" where I'm saying "8 seconds changes all" . . . Oh how life-altering things can happen in the blink of an eye . . . stated with originality & creativity in this poem!

Every minute is important....and we have to cherish them. Thanks, Barleygirl. Lydi**
oh Lydi, "nothing is larger than a minute" and yet there are not enough of them... especially if traveling to "alternate universes"... then again, anything and everything happens in fantasy, including those wonderful "fluffy clouds" in a "winking wedgewood sky"... you know I thought I saw you peeking out from them... ;0)
Lydi, your poetry contains multiverses of fluffy clouds and "sated" romantic "minutes"... and is very "nice"..

Wow. Great way to describe what a minute feels like. This reminds me of the first minute I saw my girlfriend and realized how much she would mean to. It a romantic way to describe just one minute. It shows us how important one minute in our lives just really is. Thanks for sharing.
