you are my dream

you are my dream

A Poem by Lydia Shutter

artwork by nik helbig

your sleepy caress

helps me surrender to gravity

     i slide into a dream

the zig zag of life falls away

only velvet soft wanting remains

we walk along the shoreline

          your shadow covering mine

kisses are silent substitutes for words

  and communicate so much more

i am clothed in lingering light

                 and yet naked as sunlight

you are my blue sky on a cloudy day

ever whispering love into my pain

     you are my dream

Ah, when we have one as this awaiting us in sleepy time, we cannot get there soon enough - forget the cares of the day, or those of tomorrow and slip away to a zone of total "being lost in you"!
Sensual and most enjoyable! Beautiful artwork to accompany your words which make your offering one of pure bliss!

Dana, you are a sweetheart. Thank you so much. Lydi**
Have we ever noticed the soft gentle silence that befalls two people who are so blissfully in love, no words, no sounds are needed. This stunning poem took me just there. To a world of dreams. Outstanding poetry...so appreciated.

Seems like no matter what we go through
this person remains to be the light

even if one hides
its the truth

maybe this light will come through

maybe

this is beyond beautiful
i guess this is the only feeling that can never go into darkness
its pure

Thank you very much, Nisreen. I appreciate your review. Lydi**
love it...especially the "shadow covering mine/ kisses are silent substitutes for words"

that is communication that we cannot replace..."whispering love into my pain"
wish i had written that.

"kisses are silent substitutes for words
and communicate so much more"
yes they do... and it's the so much more that makes the dream and the reality of loving someone... Lydi, when it comes to dreams, naked sunlight, and velvet soft wanting, you are the artists' artist... and it's so "nice" too...

Your paintings are always a delightful addition to your enchanted poetry Lydi.
"i am clothed in lingering light and yet naked as sunlight" was a line I was drawn to...
A very lovely write!
