a what could have been poem - about someone the subject writes with care, like walking on eggshells, careful not to disturb the memory - what and how it perceives the relationship with the beloved - a sad kind of comfort - like waves washing over one's feet on sand and stones - the absence of the beloved is haunting and says it all, but it leaves the lover hanging, because the lover can't let her feelings go for the beloved - thank you, lydia, for sharing this with us :)
wow! i think this is exquisite .. certainly about past love but much more ..a poet that always inspires, surprises and ignites colors and passions ... one's muse ... a season ..a sunset over some favorite spot .. i like this one a lot!

I have missed your reviews, my friend. Thank you so much. Lydi**

Does past and treasured love help us in the future to love even more, even fuller and better, do you think? Even though differently, more than likely.. has to be. Your words aren't apologetic but statements of beautiful fact.
These lines are majestic, touching, glorious and a few other such words, ' i lean over the edge of reality .. reaching for you.. knowing you will dazzle me .. like the sun sweeping across .. '
Sigh.

dear Lydi, the emotions of life are
sketched on our pads of pleasure...
"like the sun sweeping across the
morning sky". "Leaning over the edge
of reality" gives one a view of
possibilities. truly, Pat

Your reviews always put a smile on my face, dear Pat. Thank you so much. Lydi**
Oh, the longing this exudes...the way your pen articulates like no other.
"you hold me even when you are not here
and that’s why i lie a little to myself
lost in the vastness of possibility..."

Your memories come alive with the magic of your words. I could travel in the cloud of memories, and patiently wait for your heart to unravel thoughts reflected upon the page.
Your style is unique and love it!

When we hold one as this tucked within the deepest folds of our being, it is next to impossible to forget them - I know as I have a special person who shall never leave my memory! My first love shall forever be my forever love!
Your words are filled with longing and devotion! The surprises are often welcomed reminders of how precious they are, the dazzles so brilliant that they are often overwhelming! The image, as always, is stunning and a perfect accompaniment to your exquisite words!

This is so beautiful I just read to my mother and sister. They fell in love with it. As I was reading this, my mind drifted off to another, magical place. Sensational indeed.

we are such fragile stuff, so delicately formed in our hearts, yet we race into the heat of battle, and love...we are made of such fragile stuff, yet we race off chasing the same angels, and demons...i guess some part of the creation had to be assigned this crowded and lonely outpost...bless you Lydia, this is beautiful, even the vacant closets...
