I read recently that memories may well be 'stored', if you will, all over the body not just in the brain.
You're way ahead of science Lydia my wise and lovely friend. And waaayy more enoyable than those white papers. ;)
This is gorgeous. Thank you for sharing this one with us.

Lydi... when live's reasons scatter
like thieves... the delicate flutter of
a butterfly wing... such a sparkling artifact
on the day I first saw you... Poetry
becomes you. truly, Pat
Nothing "mundane" about your poem Lydi and I do believe your pen is THE "magic wand" of poetry... and your romantic heart is its inspiration... even that butterfly (whispering in my ear) says "nice" poem Lydi... very daffodils "nice"
imprinted forever, those moments, those feelings that are as fleeting as a butterfly's life.
but yes, this butterfly is preserved...pinned to a life by the words of a poet. and poets can make magic of those mundane moments of life....what might seem unpoetic, is more poetic than we think.
magnificence can be in the smallest things...thank god those who write can capture and preserve those wonderful small things.
The title evoked memories of the Carpenters song 'Close to You' which has the words 'On the day that you were born the angels got together.....' And indeed this is 'Lydi love' expressed in an eloquent poem.

oh Lydia......! You're such the romantic. But what is so comforting to me, is that you never, ever
cease to be... beautifully written.
