Now!

Now!

A Poem by Lydia Shutter

Watercolor pencil drawing courtesy of etsy.com

Clouds separate and merge

in the azure sky

I gaze at the sculpted valley

between his nose and mouth

framing lips I long to kiss

Magically

frayed filaments

of stress are swallowed whole

as liquid notes of desire

sing in jubilation

Kiss me... now!

A reaction we men long to receive; a mood we wish we could somehow create.
But, of course, women want and love whom they will.
Closest I've come to fostering this kind of emotion was, once, when I inadvertently picked up a masochist; she, in an impassioned voice, suddenly demanded, "Kick me, now!"
Was tempted--I had, after all, spent a great deal of money on her.
But, I digress.
Stunning and delightful work, Lydi!

This to me conjours up so much. From a 30's Cary Grant film to a love song of my youth, (not the 30's I hasten to add). The instruction here is almost overwhelming and that is the true strength of this write.

I KNOW you are not in your 80's, Ken! Thank you so much for your review. Lydi*****
If Love like this could fly... the world would be such a beautiful place... tho maybe a little exhausted! You write the most wonderful romance, it has heat and anticipation, has style and far too much enclosed for one person. Good on you and thank you so much for sharing. Lovely, lovely, lovely. !

But of course! :)
dear Lydi, framing desire may be in
pure gold if the truth were told.
May your Memorial Day be spent in
valor and lovely times of remembrance.
Things are well, except I upgraded my
iPhone and lots to learn... about everything.
truly, Pat

I loved the sensual tones singing with the anticipation written in the sky, mirrored on the contours of the lips ready to be taken by love's sweet kiss.
enchanting verses my dear! :D

Likewise my dear friend!! :D
Pucker up Lydi .. er.. i mean, yo Steven, our Joisey gal needs a kiss. Clouds gather for a kissing storm and Lydi has no umbrella, just red needy lips!!! It's another "nicely kissable" poem!! And then some! ~~redzone

red lips....absolutely. Wouldn't be without lipstick. Even my granddaughters laugh about it! :) .. read more
love it....it reminded me of Predator...with arnold yelling at the monster, "go ahead, Kill me, now"

only this is a much more delighrful scenario...

much more...sometimes the anticipation of the kiss is almost overwhelming.

you write passion so beautifully.

Thank you, Jacob....it is the genre I enjoy writing! Lydi**
I read the title, it said "Now!" ...and here I am!!

Your bold font brings an urgency to your words, and your words could stop a locomotive! Fabulous, Lydi!
