I like the line our shadows painted ominous shadows in the sand. It really struck a chord with me. Forgetting those who we missed the chance with or something similar,. We tend to glorify them even more than those who are around us in the present. Never healthy, but then again who said love was always about the good things only. Thank you for sharing ^^

Indeed, we see the past through rose-colored glasses. Thank you so much, Errenn. Lydi**
Even when it's not supposed to happen, an encounter as passionate as this is one that can't be forgotten - no matter how hard one tries, and maybe it isn't supposed to be forgotten! Your words are ones that me want to find that ocean and jump in!
Lovely!!!

"... but all too soon the fugitive sunlight stole passion and you away from me ..." Wowzers. Sometimes it is the most fleeting of moments that brand themselves most deeply into our psyches. This one speaks both the romantic in me ... and the live-for-the-moment passionate man in me. Excellent. ~Jim

This is so beautiful. A living, breathing seaside imagery.
You have poured your heart out madam.
I love this.
Specially the part where sunlight has been described as fugitive.
Such a relief on reading your pieces:)
Keep writing:)
I like the twist...the "fugitive sunlight" stealing the passion and you away...but I knew it when I got involved....even so...how can we forget an interlude such as this?
