tonight I heard murmurs a mere casual recall
of my indefinite reality
but then it took control
vulnerability undulated
to an incomprehensible rhythm
soft slopes melted
under unblinking eyes
curling into a continuum
of spiraling notions and nuances
glances receded
into not so succinct and still sympathetic
syntax
suddenly with the flick of a tongue
wandering thoughts and murmurs
joined forces
yes, tonight I heard murmurs
just before the thin line
between dreams and reality
blurred forevermore
The technical term is hypnagogic hallucinations lol they are visual, tactile, auditory, or other sensory events, usually brief but occasionally prolonged, that occur at the transition from wakefulness to sleep. Ypou cam also get them when awakening. In which case they are called hypnopompic. Lovely description though of those thoughts in gentle manicured words Lydi.

What wondrous ramblings from the night.. whispers of such soft beauty... aching murmerings... So very grateful that you sense such words in this place of wonder between dreams and reality... May you find your way there often... for all of us...

Such a sweet review, Craig. Thank you very much. Lydi**
dear Lydi... Night dreams are
murmurs that are asleep in our mind.
Sometimes I see places that I must
have seen before, but I cannot
remember. Our mind can be a
hidden treasure. Your poem is
emotionally delicate. truly, Pat

:D you are welcome, and surely Lydi, you are a beauty!!!
It's Friday so that "with the flick of a tongue" tells me where you were in this state of consciousness; where you were, and where you WANTED to be.....LOL
The artwork, as always, is wonderful too, right down to the furtive look in her eyes.

Wow. This seems so well-timed for where I am today, having spent last night looking back at the events of a couple years ago and again hearing angry murmurs that seemed to fold right into dreams about betrayal. I love the fact that you are so descriptive, yet let the reader find his or her own meaning. So glad to still have you to read after all these years my friend. ~Jim
