A Poem by Lydia Shutter
"

a poem for Writer's Cafe Patricia Wedel's birthday...April 23rd

"

in the library
               she sits
amidst books bound in leather
words waiting for her eyes to make them real
or in front of a keyboard
keys longing for her touch
they know her heart is a love song
her soul is a versified countryside
a kaleidoscope of blues and greens
                                 dancing with the stars
indeed, she is springtime personified
twirling through a field of daffodils
playing ring around the rosy with life
sharing her love with all those on her radar

april 23, 2015 happy birthday dear pat!
may you celebrate many more in good health
i am fortunate to have such a special friend!

What we have her folks is yet another cracker from an increasingly and justifiably respected poet amongst us. My good literary friend Lydia Shutter 'Lydi' has a most versatile pen and writes for people to enjoy her words... Here, as might be seen is an example that exemplifies this particular perception.

I have no doubt whatsoever that PW loved her dedication, or that many others like myself, will do too
Thank You Lidi

dear Lydi... a darling poem with a
vintage aire... leather bound books
where fairies dwell... Cobblestone paths
with horse and carriage... I sit and dream
of gathering primrose and sipping
love's nectar. To have a friend who is
charming and quaint... and writes in a
garden where flowers faint... is a divine
providence. Amen I am truly honored.

I love the way it flowed. I remember when I would sit in the library and notice certain people reading to thier children and others just enjoying the time reading.
