"

love....nothing else quite like it

the dandelions he picks
instantly become roses
he

finds meaning in café windows
then writes poetry with clouds
on the inky sky

kisses my mind with inspiration
tickles my tongue
with the perfect mélange
of naughty and nice

intrigues my curiosity
with a smile
makes me blush the color of wine
till i feel my own pulse beneath my skin

dresses me in acceptance
accessorizes me with understanding
hands me the carnelian sunset
he loves me

There is nothing quite like love Lydi. Interestingly, it seems we deny ourselves the experience of love far too often. We all can experience more love in our lives if only we would embrace the garden where it lives within. Yet, thankfully, there are people placed in our paths to remind us how loved we are and how it feels to accepted and understood. These people, "he" or she, can be a symbol and catalyst of love, but the reality seems to be, (IMO), love was a light always shinning, like a "carnelian sunset", within our being.
Still, how delicious is it to feel loved? How ethereal, to look into a mirror with wonderment and bliss to proclaim the power of love in your life.
Enjoy your dandelions. ;)
Great love poem!

Thanks very much, Fran Marie. Lydi**
Lydi, your words are a constant flowing river of love. It is my good fortune when your fluid poetry leaves the banks allowing me to drown in them happily. Also, I must say, "he" is one lucky guy.

Oh, I'm sure he already knows. :)
When it comes to love poetry, you hit the ball out of the park every single time. Your words are timeless, my friend. They always strike the deepest chord ..and leave me in a happy, magical place. There is nothing like love, and there is nothing quite like your poetry either!

Such a beautifully written poem. I especially like 'the dandelions he picks instantly become roses.'
Love indeed transforms.

'.. with the perfect mélange - of naughty and nice .. '

What a beautiful poem, it's full of delight and sincerity.: every word's a kiss, every pause is perfect.
If only a touch of that magic could spread the world, Lydi.

Lovely accompanying picture and sweet lay-out.

Anything that ends in prosperity and good luck must be worth it especially in the sun! Love of art and the artist painted on another canvas that in my mind looked like the beautiful impressionist picture you used Lydi.

wow, "dresses me in acceptance/ accessorizes me with understanding"--

i would like to find a love that would do that for me...then i definitely would be kissed with inspiration.

beautifully metaphorical...

and often poets do write poetry with cloudss...the ones with much precipitation.

of course he loves you, he would be crazy not to.
