"

love....nothing else quite like it

the dandelions he picks
instantly become roses
he

finds meaning in café windows
then writes poetry with clouds
on the inky sky

kisses my mind with inspiration
tickles my tongue
with the perfect mélange
of naughty and nice

intrigues my curiosity
with a smile
makes me blush the color of wine
till i feel my own pulse beneath my skin

dresses me in acceptance
accessorizes me with understanding
hands me the carnelian sunset
he loves me

There is nothing quite like love Lydi. Interestingly, it seems we deny ourselves the experience of love far too often. We all can experience more love in our lives if only we would embrace the garden where it lives within. Yet, thankfully, there are people placed in our paths to remind us how loved we are and how it feels to accepted and understood. These people, "he" or she, can be a symbol and catalyst of love, but the reality seems to be, (IMO), love was a light always shinning, like a "carnelian sunset", within our being.
Still, how delicious is it to feel loved? How ethereal, to look into a mirror with wonderment and bliss to proclaim the power of love in your life.
Enjoy your dandelions. ;)
Great love poem!

I've said this before and I'll say it again, absolutely no one writes like you Lydi - so very elegant...soft, sensual perfection. A new favorite by you.

I love how the seemingly impersonal "he" becomes so very, very personal in the hands of a writer of your power. I'm always in awe when I read your art. ~Jim

It's my pleasure. I always await your works I have not yet read.
He caresses your every word and places
diamond stars upon your heart and
kisses moonbeams from your eyes while
dancing with you body and soul. You are
blessed. truly... Pat

you know I love to play with my different fonts to create a visual tone to accompany my pieces and the way you have skillfully done that here is exquisite.. makes it feel delicate.. intimate.. makes you focus... savor.. the phrases you emphasize hit you with an emotional punch that intensify the overall effect.. you know I adore your writing and this is why.. the way you effortlessly and elegantly play with words, imagery, and emotion is breathtaking and I am in constant awe..
