Pistil and stamen
create abundant blossoms
their blatant beauty
nearly clamorous
Sunlight shrinks back
numinous stars spin out of control
in deference to the semiotics truly impossible to grasp Something
in life seems undone
in these shadows created
and it’s all because I miss you
Interesting perspective on loss Lydi. You craft the art around the meaning this person held for you in their living days. You frame your mood in your sense of losing a person who had a special place in the galaxy or garden of your heart. I like how you tie yourself to this person still in the poetic expression.
There is a profound sense of a life lived with meaning even in the sense of sorrow.
I will internalize this lesson I think.

We can only accept the reality of it and be thankful for the meaning we found while we were yet privileged to enjoy the bountiful blessing of those we love for always.
However, I believe we will have a reunion and find a more blessed intimacy of spirit with the souls we endure without for now...
Until then, we can enjoy the beginnings of new friendships and heart connections.
I could sense you strong tie to your cousin Lydi. You gave me a distinct impression you lost a true kindred spirit.
It was a pleasure to read and review your fine poem.

I think I remember reading this one....and once again, it has moved me to tears. I cannot imagine life without any of my cousins. they bring their own magic, add their own blossoms to our world in a way that no friend or spouse can. as always, the emotions are so delicately wrapped around your words. "something in life seems undone". sigh! So poignant, so beautiful my friend.
