the legend

the legend

A Poem by Lydia Shutter

an unnamed river
flows deep within me

uncharted waters
rapidly cascading
as they hum their siren song

in ambient cyclicity
you plant seeds of desire
on its banks

fluently translating my fantasies
into passionate facts
while writing the legend
of a river

that now sweetly
sings your name

Passion and rivers have much in common. Flow, winding twists and turns along the way, and always they run their course no matter what.

Thanks, Pryde.
There's a catch in the throat to this as the flow of words turns imagination to hope. Love the thought of finding a name, because that just has to be the acknowledgement of passion, of love. You use such beautiful language, Lydi.

I like the description and I agree. Woman should be treated like unchartered rivers and sweet mystery. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry.

dear Lydi... how deep is your river...
so sublime. It ripples over like an
untamed symphony of emotions to
fall for peaceful and serene streams
of calm caresses. truly... Pat
