Wonky Wacky Wednesday

Wonky Wacky Wednesday

A Poem by Lydia Shutter
"

this one's for you, Frieda

"

It’s a wonky wacky Wednesday

life seems unreasonable

words
like threads
help me sew a senseless, soft-witted

tapestry of the day
silken yet loony, linguistics slip through
the needle of miscellany
a frivolous foolish bagatelle
soon takes form
                            so regal
ah, yes

this is an accouterment to drape over
my chair of ennui
on this cockamamie, cracked

bonkers, batty

Wednesday

I love your sense of humor Lydi. Your "About Me" says it all...Poetry translates the mundane into the magical...And you have accomplished the magical once again. This is such a cute, witty little gem. Thank you for the much needed smile today!

You describe the wacky with an exceptional vocabulary. It was a joy to read... I kept wondering what words you would use next out of your grab-bag.

Such sweet and witty playfulness in this one, my friend. When your wackiness comes to life, it's a treat for your readers. You use your words like crayons, leaving no color unused. Fun to write, and fun to read. :)

in all of our cracked wackyness, poets find their own wisdom and sanity within their words.
