Not sure I am reading this crisp, flowing verse right Lydi but it made me think of the way in which we try to distance ourselves from the hurt of broken love by being detached and indifferent when in reality we still have deep feelings which come to the surface from time to time.

exquisite phrasing as usual ma'am.. I admit the title had me singing a certain song in my head.. "wish it were a sunday, cuz that's my fun day."... ha.. can't help it... wahooo! so glad it is Friday, but hey.. those Mondays are needed to make us appreciate the fun days.. I like the short, condensed lines that give us a little sweet with the harsh reality... well balanced... I enjoyed :)

it was my pleasure.. and yes they did... likewise girl:)
I believe a make up day would be in order. How about 'two for Tuesdays'? This was great fun to read and certainly sums up Monday morning in a nutshell :-)
I thought you were a West coast gal... :)

Nope, in South Florida for 45 years now. From Joisey originally. You have a good day too, David.
Your recollections drift back over sweet times... from bitter days now... holding onto what was such joy... such music... and now it's only the sorrow in the missing flow...
