Hi Lydia, I just joined and posted today, and all because of you! I was seaarching the sites and when I came here and read this poem, it blew me away. Your writing is so very good, and I love your use of similes and metaphors, amazing. I read more and found all of them so wonderful.
I don't know if you have time to help me a bit, but I do have an important question. I don't know how to go about enlarging my picture to put above my poem, and then have a border connecting the two. I asked in two places of the Forum, but it looks as if they don't answer much there.
Being new, if you have any suggestions that could help me, I sure would appreciate! I'm so glad I came here and found you. I'm getting more excited to write more now after reading you. Thanks so much!
Hugs,
ArtGal (Sharon)

Not sure about having a border....I have never done that. Sorry I can not be of more help. However, I am thrilled with your review and with the fact I was able to pique your interest in WC. I will check out your writing. Be well. Lydi**
I love the feel of this and its ambiguity ... it could be to a poet, to a lover, to a friend needing the right words. Another great reminder of why "You are the poet I read". ~Jim

OH MY....Cassie...you are so sweet. thank you very much!!! Lydi***
My first read of this left me with the impression that it was written about a lover, but then I read it again and came away with a different interpretation and that is what I adore about poetry. When we put words from our heart and spirit into form and have others read them, they may have so many different meanings to those who read. I feel the inspiration you receive from the writing of another, to that poem you read at the end of perhaps a long, tiring day. It may be one writer on a certain day, and then another writer on the next day, but it is the poetry that keeps you revived, that allows their waterfalls of emotion that drenches you. I could guess the work of one particular writer, but then again........it could be, or not be the one I would think. That is the the beauty of our muse...........she is the inspiration!
A lovely, thought provoking write with a lovely image!! The butterflies say so very much!!

Poetry calms me....whether I am writing it or reading it. It opens new avenues of thought for me and allows me to see life differently. I have enjoyed it since the age of 12....and I hope to do so for many years to come. Thank you for your in depth review. Lydi**
the love of poetry and the love of the poet expressed with such grace...
are we poets? or are we simply "the poem itself"
as Melanie sang, "I am not a poet, living is the poem"

It makes me think how "the muse" just can be a poetry book full of warm, and comforting poems, which can bring color and pleasure, to a torned mind at the moment... reading them, transfer you to other worlds, where pleasure is, or shared pain, and there is found comfort. Half way the poem, you bring us, into deeper love, of the muse, where you swirl, thoughts, with kisses, and were the book becomes a man, (so creative). I loved that switch. Oh yes he's the poem, (or she lol) hence your ending--the strength, the all. So enjoyed your marvelous wordplay here Lydi, you're just a humble genious you know that? :)

OMG OMG, a poem about me!!! LOL but Lydi you said... er ;0) "your waterfalls of emotion drench me
i open my mind to a kaleidoscope of color
an ever-changing palette of hues" .. I love the image and feel of this.. and then, " till the world is not so bad after all
and i’m hungry to take a bite out of my day"... So, no matter what, I could live in this "very nice" poem.. as I often have. Beautiful Lydi

Like I was sitting on an old wooden bench beneath a rose covered arbor on a quiet night, this came at me like a whisper. Beautiful Lydia, soft and feeling, flowing with affection. I really enjoyed this today.
