"u were gone so long
time wore on us
like a corrosive emulsion"
A nice journey in your words. I like the one time temptress turning to a memory. I like the about lines a lot. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Just as your poetry shows, memories provide much inspiration. Thank you so much, my friend. Lydi**
Your title really drew me in, Lydi. I just had to read this one. The way you crafted your stanzas with the breaks, I can really see and feel the interruptions and the gradual unraveling of a beautiful thing that once was.

Beautiful poem with a deep message, those stars and it's brightness was so real, so even if time eroded so many things including the relation which is a world phenomenon, but star and brightness is a heart phenomenon hard to erase with rubber eraser of time as it is already became a memory

You welcome, take care
This one is so close to my heart Lydi, it's a great memory you write out here, and they do fade away, over the years, they get lighter, but on some special moments, they can come back just that vivid, sometimes, with a song, or just a fragment that does bring us back to that certain moment. You really captured this for me tonight, in a great poem, just exactly enough, in words, to make it clear, and alive again for a moment... Nice work, dear. -xx-

Thanks so much, Neville. I appreciate your review. Lydi**
Memories burn so deep that they remain with us forever. Yes, the love may fade; but the memories remain, living on, in us. There is such poignancy in this piece. I'm reminded of the flames in autumn - that last burst of fire that crisps the leaves and then fades into the ground. Beautiful!

Such a poetic review, Linda. Thank you very much. Lydi**
A most touching, sincere write of a romance that fate or otherwise decreed could not last and yet the memories still linger on like the foliage of an evergreen tree that neither fade nor fall ! Splendid indeed Lydia !
