I enjoyed how you arranged this love poem into three distinct parts: First he’s a protective tree, second he’s the moon and stars piercing the darkness that enfolds around you, and third he’s a guide helping you navigate through the maze of life. Each verse has four orderly lines that stick to the same subject without straying.
Love is deep and when found embraces us with a feeling so warm and treasured. May the love that you speak of be something we all find and hold on to and deliver life to us in the light it should be. This is a beautiful write Lydi

Lydi... I think I shall never read
a poem as lovely as twinkling blue eyes...
the warmth and tenderness of wisdom
personified. When storms overtake us
and lightening strikes... the branches of
love protect our heart and soul as we heal
and bloom once again. Your poetry is
gentle and is a soothing balm. truly... Pat

yes, mon amour, i love you
A shelter, a leading light all through the travel and the climax is marvelous, beautiful write with the essence of life itself wrapped so gently and sealed, loved it
Thank you for a lovely poem and a new word in my vocabulary. I have never used the word aplomb before.
It is interesting how a loved one can bolster our self confidence.

Always thrilled when I teach a reader a word, David. Thanks for the review. Lydi**
What a wonderfully romantic love poem Lydi. Each line sparkled metaphors, but I was drawn to the last verse, to the "light in the window", expressing understated passion with small and simple words.... oh Lydi, to love and be loved in this way.. sigh, nice, niCE, NICE!!!
