I enjoyed how you arranged this love poem into three distinct parts: First he’s a protective tree, second he’s the moon and stars piercing the darkness that enfolds around you, and third he’s a guide helping you navigate through the maze of life. Each verse has four orderly lines that stick to the same subject without straying.
Now that is love! Someone to protect you from the storms, help you escape the darkness, and light the path to better days. I love the construction of this. A romantic, inspiring, moving piece beautifully written.

You're welcome. It was my pleasure. I really enjoyed this:)
and likewise ma'am...
A deeply soulful and expressive poem, brimming over with touching sentiment in proclamation of that special love in our lives...... Inspirational indeed Lydia !
It is when one is safe through moments as this that one is able to feel the shelter of another's love! Storms may come, darkness, lanes that seem to take us the wrong way and their commitment is known! That light in the window at the end of one's path is ever a beacon of love!! That path is surely meant to be taken in a one way direction so one never turns around and takes the wrong path!

It is so wonderful to see poetry from you that I am literally at a loss for words. A most excellent piece ... and , as always, a joy to read your work. ~Jim
