yes

yes

A Poem by Lydia Shutter

the blue lady” by monique edwards

courtesy of paintoutsidethelines of etsy.com

when the storms of my summer

triumph over my usual aplomb

you allow me to take shelter

beneath your branches of wisdom

when dusk and twilight

become sullen darkness

the light in your eyes sparkles

leading me to a better place

through darkened twisting lanes

you will always be the light in the window

at the end of my path

yes, mon amour, i love you

I enjoyed how you arranged this love poem into three distinct parts: First he’s a protective tree, second he’s the moon and stars piercing the darkness that enfolds around you, and third he’s a guide helping you navigate through the maze of life. Each verse has four orderly lines that stick to the same subject without straying.

I don't think I can do better than the featured review, suffice it to say, it is a beautiful flowing verse, well done.

You are so sweet. Thank you once again. Lydi**
Now that is love! Someone to protect you from the storms, help you escape the darkness, and light the path to better days. I love the construction of this. A romantic, inspiring, moving piece beautifully written.

Thanks, Cassie.
It is when one is safe through moments as this that one is able to feel the shelter of another's love! Storms may come, darkness, lanes that seem to take us the wrong way and their commitment is known! That light in the window at the end of one's path is ever a beacon of love!! That path is surely meant to be taken in a one way direction so one never turns around and takes the wrong path!

It's always nice to have safe place to fall, the safe harbor that keeps us grounded, lovely as always Lydikey...and you turn me on when you speak French. ;-)
