In the echoes of life you are not alone for you reveberate in the hearts and minds of your family, friends and fans. You have lived to the fullest outside the lines of borders and boxes and have no regrets when the last cigarrette was burnt. You are not alone for your legacy echoes. Excellent...:).............

I have no belief in saints lydia and if we were....I think it might be a bit boring :)
Your words have struck a chord to say the least my friend...sometimes you get so lost that don't remember what lines you coloured and what lines you attempted to white out...so often it feels like I'm walking around in circles. I also like the 'lines' theme as a sort of parallel to the writing process. I related to every line of this piece...great work Lydi :)

Thanks so much, Steve....wish you could not relate quite so well, my friend! Lydi**
Lydi, I love when you talk.... er wait let me put my old people's glasses on. Oh, ok, Lydi, take my hand, you a very young old and me, older than dirt, let's do the old people's dance. Show these youngsters at WC a thing or two. HA!! Only one thing left to say about your poem, NEVER EVER, stay in the lines Lydi. We are never too old (or too young) to create abstract art or really good poetry.. besides you are one of those people who are to obstinate and stubborn to get old.. er wait. What happened to those glasses I think I spelled young and beautiful wrong.. ;0) You know I loved your poem Lydi... ~~ redzone

Hey, the calendar says I am not young anymore, but it beats the alternative for sure. Besides, only the good die young and I was never Rebecca of Sunnybrook farm! :) Thanks so much, Curt. A quite noble and proudly penned piece of poetry, so refreshing to read the accepting acknowledgement that father time waits for none, so lets 'buck up', count our blessings and continue to enjoy life!
Inspirational, resolute and as always Lydia, delightful indeed!

What a lovely review this is, Rose. Thank you very much. Lydi**
You do color outside the lines Lydi - and that is exactly what makes your poetry so magical. However, I've never pictured you as a victim - nor will I - ever.
I love the colloquialism in this poem, the simplicity of the conversational tone and the way you are unapologetic of coloring "outside the lines of life." That is what makes you a great writer; your ability to see beyond the fringes and bring back verses and lines that share what you have experienced.

We definitely are, Lydi! Your poetry comforts and fulfills like the company of an old friend. "(a carelessly tossed cigarette burned what was left of it), reverberating with the echoes of life" Terrific line! and such a terrific write that will remain close to my heart and in my thoughts. Loved it, my friend!
