how muchA Poem by Lydia Shutterthere is something very special about spending time with either of my granddaughters
painting by elaine feliciano courtesy of etsy.com NYoriginalpaintings today you
skipped across
the tense span of my life scattering
the baggage i've been forced to carry to parts unknown it’s true while the
sun was high in the sky the
strangely familiar flavor of happiness danced
across my taste buds like
spring rain watering flowers your
smile nourished my soul that’s why i’ll
always write you poems full of sweetness even put
some icing and sprinkles on the top hoping
someday you will understand how much
your oma loves you © 2014 Lydia ShutterAuthor's Note
