in your dreams

in your dreams

A Poem by Lydia Shutter
"

it's friday!

"

“dancing queen” by dyanne parker

my red dress
will hang
on the chair
beside you
leaving me
in only
ivory skin
pouty lips
and a hint of jasmine

penetrating desire
will embrace us
as dionysus
winks from
the mirror
channeling secrets
of carnal pleasure

just for tonight
let me lie down
in your dreams
where threads
of passion
will meander
‘tween fibers of lust
and all will be right
with the world

Your Friday night writes are just as passionate on a Wednesday night.
This is so simple and yet so softly sensual and elegant...I am speechless. You have outdone yourself.

Goodness Lydia, never have I been a pessimist, but life is what it is, and even as a poet realism sometimes peeps through.

Mind you, I'm not complaining, I have a beautiful son who means to world.

Beccy.

Not so much sad, more an acceptance that life is rarely a Mills and Boon novel.

There is a thin line between being a realist and being a pessimist.
Those are moments to cherish. Always I await with bated breath, though mostly I remain disappointed.

Beccy.

Short, precise, simple and romantic. I imagined everything in candlelight. This is beautiful. :)

You're welcome. I'm happy to review.
Sensual and evocative. The losing of all other burdens to just be, simply be...in a moment of fusion in embracing sensation. This is truly magnificent. I could read you all day Lydi x
