"write"

"write"

A Poem by Lydia Shutter

even though i have not heard it

for what seems like forever

i listen for it intently

confident it exists

            loving the possibility

                        of hearing it

the velvet soft whisper of inspiration

as it plants seeds

offers visions

arouses my senses

and stirs my very soul

yes, it will take root

then blossom

till all is “write” with my world!

An array of hope.. And it is true, you never know when the inspiration will let the ink flow. And when it does we must let it write in its flow giving it priority instead of ignoring the rattling pen..
I can really relate to this piece. Once you start you cant stop.. It's just starting..
Thanks for sharing and have word filled 2014. Enjoy!!

Thank you so much, Tom. Lydi**
dear Lydi... even butterflies fly away for awhile....
returning more lovely than ever refreshed with
salt air and the peace that passes understanding.
Soft rain has entered our world... offering a
Christmas Eve of wise men and shepherds gazing
on a Star of wonder and light... with love and beauty
of the season. Your poem has the resonance of
lovely chimes in the breeze of inspiration...
truly... Pat

You are most welcome:)
Oh how i can relate to this one! It's one of the worst phases a poet can ever go through. and yet... Poetry is always alive within us, it's just sometimes, either we're not ready to write it..or the poem isn't ready for us. We could be in the most beautiful place...feeling the strongest emotions....and yet that 'velvety whisper' just won't come. but like you, i'm always listening, confidently i'll hear it someday :) so glad 'the seeds' took root..and how they blossomed! Absolutely beautiful Lydi..a poem after my own heart.

Same to you Lydi. I am in the middle of a block and I hope that it will return once the holidays have departed and so I wait. I hope you have a joyous 2014.

And when all is "write" with your world, we all benefit from your creativity and "joie de vivre," Lydi. This is another wonderful edition to your oeuvre. Write on and enjoy your Christmas Day!

Thank you very much, Joyce. I appreciate your warm words. lydi**
Ha Lydi we all have dry spells. This expresses the way we should feel at those times. Writing for writings sake is usually hard. So many people get distressed if they get 'writer's block' and on WC if you are not posting you soon become history. I have a block over my second 'Witches Seed' book but feel very calm and know it will either come to me or will end there. Not too sure about the use of 'write' in the last line it feels a little 'cheesy'?
