while the moon paints the lawn a glistening silver

and it’s all reflected in your eyes

you whisper sweet words

i listen intently

you are like a lilting serenade

wrapping your voice around my shoulders

you are like a fine wine

intoxicating my life

it’s all so clear, mon amour

i will drink from your chalice

till two steps past midnight

            two steps towards forever

Two steps forward forever...now that is a promise. The beauty of this piece encompasses the colors you've plucked from nature and wrapped in a bow of unbridled love. Your poems are romantic but there is always an underlying layer of love that is deep, vast and eternal.
