with a nimble
nearly imperceptible
turn of phrase 'nothing's gonna
change my world'
i was there
the voices of lovers rustled
like petticoats on brocade
we defied circumstance
while molding our futures
the rain filled wind startled me
but my cheeks were still flushed
with the vivid memory
of another century
a different lifetime
a special you

And with this one, I get your review of my latest much better, even.... there is indeed a connection, maybe to the past, and also the present... we never know, but sometimes we just feel it....
We dream it, and know it.... such a touching piece this is... a beautiful psychedellic picture, of dreams of the soul... colorful, and full of details, loved this in totality so much.

Lovers through the ages have felt the same strong emotions and who knows? If lovers are reincarnated, perhaps they meet again centuries later and relive their romantic interludes. I agree with Julie, Lydi, you do seem to "breathe" romantic poetry. It pours gracefully from your pen onto your page and we are the beneiciaries of your gift.

This is so romantic, Lydi. I love this one and touched me in many ways. I can fully relate to this. As always, I love the choice of words and the conciseness in beauty. Keep it up!

This is like a romantic ballad that you instantly find a deep connection with. Your words have such a mystical beauty...just like that graphic you chose. To be soaked in a beautiful memory...it truly is 'another century'. Absolutely gorgeous, my friend! Loved it.

thank you, sweet Sanober. Your reviews are always wonderful. Lydi**
The images you create in my mind as I read your flowing words are like the finery of the brocade on the petticoats - can just see them blowing in the breeze, or being lifted a bit higher to step across a puddle of water, or holding them down to be more lady like. Words of a different lifetime, vivid memory bring alive my memories as well!
So lovely, and the image is indeed a perfection of fantasy!! Oh my, just look at the slices of life within the drawing - from a guitar playing man, to a wolf, unicorns and a waterfall from a sea shell, and so much more!!
Beautiful!!

the voices of lovers rustled
like petticoats on brocade
a brilliant line my friend.
You have an incredible talent Lydi and can write anything. But it is your romantic poetry I love the most. It always seems so effortless - as though you breathe these words and they become a masterpiece. Not sure if that makes sense...
Another keeper for me

That was long ago and far away though. Still, I happened to see a photo on the internet and it brought me back to those days. Thanks so much, Jacob. Lydi**
