to the sun

to the sun

A Poem by Lydia Shutter
"

too many rainy days here lately

"

my hand reaches out
beyond the safety of my trusty umbrella
to cup raindrops
the rain will not bother me
not today
     raindrops
plip
                  then
plop

playing my unfinished symphony

as i conduct

muddy puddles become my dance floor

because these old lady feet

are on the winding path to the sun

there is such rhythm, music and magic in those lines. the images, as always...come at me like High definition 3D effects. Love the atmosphere of the rain...but even more...your feet dancing to the promise of the sun. so lovely, Lydi.

Lydi, love the rainy day images... mud puddles,"plip plop", conducting wet symphonies.... looking for the sun... I'll catch up lydi, but I am still playing in the puddles, splashing being 6 again... fun!!!! hope you can tell than not only is this a"nice" poem,I am entangled in its fantasy. ---red(splashing away)zone

i like this...it's like being in a bit of a depressed state of mind, then seeing a break in the clouds...knowing the rain of pain is about to ebb, and life is to get sunny again.

Nice poem, Lydia. An excellent newie poem written by you from yer heart. I want this poem in my library so, am gonna put it into. Lovable words you dropped in. In the rainy season every beauty walks in the same way holding slipery's in/on hands and walking barefoot like a deer on the road, the winds blow their hair and when the hair cover the faces of Angels... omg, everybody goes fall down on the ground to see such a stunning looks... lol Well penned.

And, by the way... the pic.'s again damn sizzling.. OMG, her walking's ripping my heart off ... lol
