rhyming vent

Not asking for much

just want to read a poem

why won’t that page open?

Starting to b***h and moan!

 

I type in the web address

push the little arrow to go

but nothing is happening

seems my world is in slo-mo!

 

Have cyber gremlins taken over

who is running Writer’s Café?

Some very angry emotions

I’m starting to display!

 

The words are itchy twitchy

they want to be written now

I see Erato in the corner

this behavior she’ll not allow!

 

Do I need to make an offer

to the gods of cyber space?

Is whomever runs the site

in a special hiding place?

 

At the end of my rope here

won’t be able to take much more

if it takes a whole lot longer

nouns and verbs will go to war!

 

But wait what is this now?

Writer’s Café just sent me mail

I’m starting to feel better

bad tidings I’ll exhale.

 

Yes, now my razzle is dazzled

I’ve begun to dance a jig

I back on the Writer’s Café site

my smile is really big!

Either way and remaining upbeat, if it weren't for the cyber gremlins I wouldn't have ever been able to laugh at this brilliant take on the flaws of modern technology !!

No, actually I was only trying to read other people's poetry at the time, but not being able to access the site was incredibly frustrating. the lock ups here make me feel like i am in Alcatraz....and that prison has been closed for years...

You've captured the frustration of trying to access this site. I really like it here and look forward to my visits but when I am thwarted, bumped offline and sit while I watch the wheel of death turn endlessly I too feel a bit itchy twitchy. Hey I want my money back, oh that's right, it's free...get what you pay for ; )

Hey, you did a great rhyme and got exhaled some inhaled aggravation while you were at it! Dang, the Cafe can be slow at times and I know there have been problems in the past but it seemed as if the problems had been resolved. Let's hope the Gods of cyberspace have not been messing with our favorite writing platform!!

OMG! I have been trying to get on this site off and on for hours! So frustrating. I love, love your rant. My smile is wobbly, though. I have been teased twice now. I thought it was systems go and then?? I don't know what is going on, but the last two days in the WC have been trying. Angi~
